Jeanine M. Kribs

Jeanine M. Kribs, 56, a resident of the Cornelius community, died Friday afternoon, September 25, 2020, at her home. JEANINE MARIA KRIBS was born November 6, 1963 in Portland, Oregon, the daughter of the late Edward Lopez and Phyllis (Sanders) Lopez. She was raised and received her education in the Tigard community, having been a graduate of the Tigard High School Class of 1981. She then attended Portland Community College, having received an associate degree in early childhood development. She was united in marriage to David E. Kribs on February 24, 1996 in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Oregon City, Oregon. They celebrated their 24th Wedding Annversary this past February. Following their marriage, they resided in the communities of King City and Portland, until 1997, when they moved to the Cornelius community, where they have resided since. Jeanine had operated a childcare service in her home for ten years. She later worked for the Hillsboro School District #1J as a substitute aide for special education, as well as a school bus aide for youth with special needs for many years. She was an active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Blooming. Among her special interests, Jeanine enjoyed sewing, kayaking, She also enjoyed traveling, having toured most National Parks on the west coast. Jeanine was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Lopez. Survivors include her husband, David Kribs, of the family home in Cornelius, Oregon; her father, Edward Lopez, of Tigard, Oregon; her daughter, Marta Grace Kribs, of Cornelius, Oregon; her two sons, Ryan Niles Kribs and Kyle Jacob Kribs, both of Cornelius, Oregon; her brother and sister-in-law, Stuart and Elizabeth Lopez, of Lyme, Connecticut and her three sisters and brothers-in-law, Michelle and Bill Briggs, of Sutherlin, Oregon; Denise and Rich Haugen, of Oregon City, Oregon and Danielle Lopez, of Tigard, Oregon. Also surviving are his eleven nephews, Jesse, Austin, Judson, Bowen, Mathew, Joshua, Victoria, Kisa, Collin. The family suggests that remembrances may be contributions to the Pregnancy Resource Center, 4975 SW Watson Ave, Beaverton, Oregon 97005, in her memory. Arrangements are entrusted to Fuiten, Rose & Hoyt Funeral Home in Forest Grove.
