Joyce Suddreth Christianson entered into this world June 11, 1933 and left for her eternal home to be with her Savior on Thursday, September 24, 2020. Born Sunday, June 11, 1933, in Charlotte, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Bertha Fite Suddreth. She was saved at an early age, but like others got off the straight and narrow sometimes. Each time, Jesus forgave her. Thank God for His Son. God blessed her with a good husband, the late Carl C. Christianson, and four precious children: Susan Lynn, Deborah Ann, Carl, Jr. and Timothy Jordan. Joyce enjoyed gardening, mowing her grass, reading, spending time with her canine companion, Sydney, and her family and making trips to Sunset Beach. She was a social butterfly who made an impact on all who came in contact with her. Joyce was very talented in the arts and crafts from cooking and baking cakes to pottery and painting. She lived a simple life and took joy and gratitude in the world's beauty and all of the small things in life; in those things she saw God's hand. She viewed her greatest achievement in life to be her four children, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Joyce was a strong Christian woman whose life will be used as a template to learn and live from. Joyce is survived by her loving children: Susan Dresser and her husband, Michael, Deborah McKay, and Carl Christianson and his wife, Cecilia; grandchildren, great grandchildren and many loving friends. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by husband, Carl Christianson; son, Timothy Christianson; and grandson, Christopher Christianson. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 28, at Elmwood Cemetery, Charlotte, NC with Pastor Michael Wolff officiating.
