Lula Belle Kirk, 78 of Logan, WV entered into the arms of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ on, September 24, 2020 at Cornerstone Rehabilitation Center in Huntington, WV, following a short, but brave battle with illness. Born January 16, 1942 in Holden, WV to the late Sam Sr. and Lucy Maynard. In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her loving husband Edgar Ray Kirk of Logan, WV, brothers James Edward Maynard, Cecil (Whitey) Maynard, Luther Maynard, Robert “Rob” Maynard, Will Maynard, sisters May Kubas (her walking buddy), Grace (Patty) Naggy/Maynard; her only daughter Tammy (Joseph) Ross of McConnell, WV, sister in law Sheila Maynard of Holden, WV a brother in law Paul Bailey of Logan, WV and her son in law Joseph W. Ross of McConnell, WV. Lula was of the Church of God faith and believed in the power of prayer. She had a beautiful contagious laugh that would light up the room and she cared deeply for others. She was a caregiver until she retired, she loved caring for others. She always loved to dress pretty, have her pink lipstick on, have her hair done and loved her beautician dearly. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons Danny Jay Smith of Logan, Wv and Ricky (Crystal) Maynard of Mingo, WV, brothers William “Pete”Maynard of Gallipolis, Ohio, Sam Jr (Frankie) Maynard of Alabama, Henry Lee “HL” (Gloria) Maynard of Whitman, WV; sisters Joan Maynard of Holden, WV and Robin Bailey of Logan, WV; her only granddaughter Jessica (Robert “Buddy”) Carter of McConnell, WV, her only great granddaughter Gabrielle Marie Carter whom she loved very much also of McConnell, WV. To name a few of her nieces Kathy Maynard of Holden, WV; great nieces Kaitlyn Maynard of Holden, WV, Tia Miller of Holden WV and a great great niece Natalia of Holden, WV. There are a few very special friends that she thought of as family: Diane and Eddie Adkins of Logan, WV and Iris (Pearl) Preece along with many other nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Friends may call on the family from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday September 29, 2020 at Honaker Funeral Home in Logan. The family asks in lieu donations be made to Honaker funeral home in Logan WV. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and the Governor's Guidelines regarding large gatherings, only 25 persons may be allowed in the facility at one time and social distancing and face coverings are required. Please plan your attendance accordingly to help stop the spread of Covid-19 and to help keep the family and community safe.
