Lonnie Lee Longstaff

Lonnie Lee Longstaff, 73, of Williamsburg, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at Rock Creek of Ottawa. Family will meet with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Inurnment will be held later at Pleasant View Cemetery, Oskaloosa, Kansas. Lonnie was born February 14, 1947, at Westmoreland, Kansas, the son of Lyle and Edith (Walters) Longstaff. He lived in Edwardsville, Kansas for many years, moving in the late 2000’s to Williamsburg. He graduated from Lawrence High School with the class of 1965. Lonnie was united in marriage to Linda Thomas on April 21,1968 at Lawrence. They later divorced. He was employed as an irrigation technician for 35 years working both in Texas and Kansas. Lonnie always loved spending time with the family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, driving around backroads looking at wildlife, watching cooking shows, and collecting antiques. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Denny Longstaff. Survivors include his two children Lonnie Linn Longstaff of Williamsburg, and Lisa Rosebaugh of Greeley, Colorado; four grandchildren, Devon, Jacob and Justin Rosebaugh and Bailey Longstaff; and great granddaughter, Autumn Marie Rosebaugh. Contributions for funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated by the family. Checks should be made payable to Dengel & Son Mortuary and if mailed sent c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
