<p>Erika Mary Louise Tucker was welcomed into Heaven on Tuesday September 15, 2020 at the UW Medical Center, Seattle, Washington, after a long battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She was laid to rest at Vashon Cemetery by Her Great-Grandfather August and Great-Grandmother Johanna Wax, on September 19,2020.</p> <p>Erika was born at St John&rsquo;s Hospital in Santa Monica, CA, April 26, 1980 to Theodoric Leopold Tucker and Sue Anna Grace Stanley Tucker. She moved to Vashon Island Washington in 1985 where she attended the Island Schools and the Vashon Island Christian School. She was very active as a youth with the 4-H and the Olympus Pony Club, She came to the Lord at 4 with her Grandma Sarah Linda Wax Stanley&rsquo;s guidance. She was baptized and attended services on Vashon of the Orthodox Church of the East, Calvary Full Gospel Church and Vashon Island Community Church.</p> <p>In 2000, she moved with her family to Port Orchard, WA and then to Bainbridge Island. She attended Olympic College and worked at Safeway on Bainbridge for many years.&nbsp; She was a member of Elim Lutheran Church in Port Orchard and the Orthodox Church of the East of Port Orchard and Bainbridge. She also attended, with her paternal Grandmother, Betty Rubino, Bainbridge First Baptist Church.</p> <p>Erika loved to go camping and just driving around the highways and byways, exploring museums and attending various State and County Fairs, Renaissance and Medieval Faires, the Emerald City Comic Con among others.&nbsp; She went traveling all over Washington, Oregon, B.C., California (Disneyland was a family favorite), and one summer to Yellowstone down through the Grand Canyon with her stepsister Kayla (with a side trip to Silver Plume, CO where her Great Grandmother, Mary Grimes Stanley grew up). She traveled with her Maternal Grandparents, Most Rev John and Sarah Linda Stanley to England.</p> <p>She was very artistic and loved art, drawing, beadwork, crochet and knitting, much to the benefit of family and friends.</p> <p>Erika is survived by her Beloved boyfriend Scott Whited and family, her father Most Rev Theodoric &ldquo;Terry&rdquo; Tucker, stepmother Eleanor &ldquo;Ellie&rdquo;Tucker and stepsister, Kayla and stepbrother, Eric and all the extended family.&nbsp; Her mother Sue Anna &ldquo;Sue&rdquo; Tucker. Her brother Todd Tucker and sister in law Courtney and all her dear family, and nephews Ronan and Korben. Her sister Heather Newman and brother in law Eric and niece Glenna and Heather&rsquo;s Mom, Sheila Walther. And also sister Laura. Her maternal grandmother Sarah Linda Wax Stanley, and all the many cousins on the Sestrap, Wax and Aric side. Her aunt Vickie Brown Burke and her children and grandchildren.&nbsp; Aunt Mary and Uncle John Turner and cousins David and Keren. And her best friend Bryn and family, along with many friends down through the years.</p> <p>Erika will be greatly missed by co-workers at Safeway, congregants of the Churches she attended, the staff of CHI Harrison Health Partners Ontology, Poulsbo. Harrison/ St Michael&rsquo;s oncology wing, Optimum, the SCCA and UW Medical Center.</p> <p>To all she knew she was a beloved bright light, with a kind and loving heart, a sweet smile, and a great sense of humor.</p>
