Bridgewater - Maxine Marion (McNinch) DeLong, 91 died Wednesday September 23, 2020 surrounded by her family at Northern Light A R Gould hospital in Presque Isle after having a stroke. Maxine was born February 4, 1929, the daughter of the late Daniel and Ola (Hawthorne) McNinch at their home in Bridgewater. She is survived by a son Carroll DeLong and daughters Sharon (Dale) DeLong Boyd and Judy Collins all of Bridgewater. One grandchild, Charity (Adam) Ahlquist of Dover Foxcroft and five great grandchildren, Joseph, James, Charissa, Austin and Alexander. All of which were her pride and joy. Several nieces and nephews. Maxine was predeceased by her husband, Wellington DeLong, and a son Daniel Ellis DeLong ,two brothers, Paul, and Calvin McNinch and two sisters, Frances DeLong and Leota Roberts, a son in law Roderick Collins, and, a special friend, Bryant Jensen. Maxine was a member of the Bridgewater Full Gospel Assembly serving the Lord all her adult life, leaving her children with a strong faith, a firm foundation, and a heavenly inheritance. She was a Godly woman. Maxine did not work outside the home but was a great housewife, becoming an excellent cook and seamstress but her real love was carpentry, totally remodeling the kitchen and anything else that she could tackle. She just loved working with wood. Funeral service will be held Saturday September 26, 2020 at 2pm at Bridgewater Full Gospel Assembly with Rev Robert Amuzzini and Rev Steve Izzo officiating. There will be a time of visitation from 1 to 2 prior to the funeral. Burial will take place at Smith Cemetery in Bridgewater. Online condolences may be shared at www.bowersfuneral.com
