Sandra Kanfer Altman
<p>Sandra Kanfer Altman, 81, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020, at Heritage Manor, in Youngstown, Ohio. Sandra was born on August 19, 1939 in Canton, Ohio, the daughter of Anna and Charles Kanfer. She graduated from Canton McKinley High School. </p> <p>Sandra was an avid reader and loved to needlepoint and knit. She knitted many full size afghans for her family and friends. She enjoyed bowling in various leagues and served as president of the B’nai Brith women’s bowling league. She was a lifetime member of Hadassah and a member of Temple El Emeth and Children of Israel sisterhoods.</p> <p>Sandra is survived by: her brother, Jack Kanfer (Barbara); her three children, Steven (Pam), Lisa (Randy) and Jeff (Lisa); and 5 grandchildren, Blake Altman, Garrett Altman, Logan Altman, Alyson Seder (Brenden), and Marni Altman, as well as many nieces and nephews.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Alan Altman, and her parents Anna and Charles Kanfer.</p> <p>Arrangements by Shriver-Allison-Courtley-Weller-King Funeral Home in Youngstown. Private Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Family requests no visitation.
