Thomas Ali Calvillo, 34, was born on February 2, 1986 to Carlos Calvillo Sr. and Oralia Carrillo in Hobbs, New Mexico. Thomas passed away Monday, September 21, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas. Thomas was a very clever man who could pick up skills quickly. He helped his parents build their home. He was very good with his hands and could do just about anything. Among his passions, he loved drawing and working on cars. He had a passion for anything with a motor and was a very good mechanic. Thomas loved helping others and never said no if he could help. Thomas was preceded in death by his mother, Oralia Calvillo. Left to cherish his memory are his father, Carlos Calvillo Sr.; brother, Carlos Calvillo Jr.; sister Melissa Calvillo; nephews, Dante Calvillo, Daniel Enriquez and Carlos Calvillo III; nieces, Alyssa, D’Ana and Shy Calvillo.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM- 5:00 PM, Monday, September 28, 2020 with the recitation of the Rosary to begin at 2:30 PM at Griffin Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at St. Helena Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Pallbearers to serve will be Dante Calvillo, Gregory Gonzalez, Jaime Alonzo, Nick Villalobos, Aaron M. Varela, Adrian Rodriguez, Ricky Carrillo and Frank Bonilla. Honorary pallbearer, D’Ana Calvillo. Due to Covid-19 facial masks and social distancing is required.
