<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 36px;"><strong><span style="font-family: times new roman,times,serif;">Wayne&rsquo;s Life Reflection</span></strong></span></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: times new roman,times,serif;">Wayne Sidney Harvey Sr. was born June 4, 1943 in Rosedale, Kansas in the home of his parents, Henry George Harvey Sr., and Julia Myrtle Mae Mercer Harvey on Fitzgerald Road.&nbsp; Later, Wayne moved with his parents, sister, and brother to Barber Station, a little township between Rosedale and Argentine (now Kansas City, Kansas).&nbsp; Wayne grew up in Kansas City, Kansas he attended Attucks Elementary School, and Argentine Junior and Senior High School.&nbsp;</span></span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: times new roman,times,serif;">Wayne began working alongside his father in construction for Price Brothers as an apprentice, where he worked for several years.&nbsp; After parting ways with Price Brothers, Wayne went on to work for Safeway as a truck driver where he worked for more than 3 decades. He went into early retirement after suffering a back injury. After retiring from Safeway, Wayne became an independent distributor for Watkins until his death.</span></span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: times new roman,times,serif;">Wayne was a lifetime member of Bethel Seventh Day Adventist Church, there was a period when Wayne, with his young family attended The Community Baptist Church of Rosedale, the church in the community that he was raised. Wayne with Dorothy and his family came back to Bethel in the early seventy and remained until their deaths. Wayne was a Deacon and served on the Security Team.</span></span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: times new roman,times,serif;">Wayne enjoyed his family, helping others, preparing holiday meals alongside his wife, camping, hunting, and fishing.&nbsp; He was a true and loyal friend, and visionary.&nbsp; Wayne could do anything he put in his mind to.&nbsp; He built his home from the ground up.</span></span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: times new roman,times,serif;">Wayne married Dorothy Jean Jefferson on June 18, 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri.&nbsp; They were happily married for 59 years.&nbsp; To this union three children were born, Wayne Jr.; Latisia; and Kevin Harvey.</span></span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: times new roman,times,serif;">Wayne Sidney Harvey Sr. 77 passed away on September 21, 2020 at his home, he was preceded in death by his parents, Henry George Harvey Sr.; and Julia Myrtle Mae Harvey; brother, Henry George Harvey Jr.; sisters, LuRenna Jane Young; Linda Jerald King; sisters in law, Mary Harvey; Sylvia Harvey; brothers in law, John E. Young, Horace King; and Gregory Atkins; the love of his life his wife, Dorothy Jean Harvey.</span></span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: times new roman,times,serif;">Leaving to cherish his memory and love his children, Wayne Harvey Jr. (Marquita); Latisia Harvey Hampton (Melvin); and Kevin Harvey all of Kansas City, Kansas; his six grandchildren, Chardanee Harvey; Darius Hampton; BryAnna Harvey Davis (Terrance); Christian Harvey; Dominique, and Demetrius Hampton; his two great-grandchildren, Brilyn Davis; and Terrance Davis Jr.; brothers, Frank C. (Tinker) Harvey; Ivan (Pineapple) Harvey (Cassandra); Chester Harvey (Denise); sisters, Valarie Harvey Fennell (Samuel); and Pamela Harvey Atkins a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.</span></span></strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Wayne’s Life Reflection

Wayne Sidney Harvey Sr. was born June 4, 1943 in Rosedale, Kansas in the home of his parents, Henry George Harvey Sr., and Julia Myrtle Mae Mercer Harvey on Fitzgerald Road.  Later, Wayne moved with his parents, sister, and brother to Barber Station, a little township between Rosedale and Argentine (now Kansas City, Kansas).  Wayne grew up in Kansas City, Kansas he attended Attucks Elementary School, and Argentine Junior and Senior High School.
