Sarah “Ann” Mitchell passed away on September 23, 2020, at the age of 85. She was born May 18, 1935, in Farris, Oklahoma to Charles and LoEdith Miller. At the age of 17, she graduated from Atoka High School and attended college at the Southeastern Ok State University to pursue a degree in elementary education. After graduating college, she moved to Oklahoma City and began her career with Oklahoma Public Schools, and teaching for over 37 years, she retired with the Mustang Public School district. Ann served her Lord, in faith, as greeter periodically, with the Chisholm Heights Baptist Church, in Mustang, Oklahoma. Ann’s loving and sweet spirit, along with the gift of talking, made her a perfect fit for this role. Being a grandmother to Kolton, Kylee and Kyler held a “Special Place” in her heart and she loved them dearly. Ann was preceded in death by her parents; Charles and LoEdith Miller; husband of 62 years, Ervin Mitchell and daughter Shelly Ann. She is survived by two children, Kelly Ray and William “Kent” and wife Kerri; and grandchildren, Kolton Ray, Kylee Grace and Kyler Dale; her brother, Jess William Miller along with many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, September 28, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at the Chisholm Heights Baptist Church in Mustang, Oklahoma, interment following at Mustang Cemetery..
