It is with profound sadness the family of Francis (Frank) Edwin Joseph Tremblay, announce his peaceful passing with family present on Tuesday September 22, 2020 at Nipissing Serenity Hospice .

Frank was born in North Bay April 14,1934, the ninth of fourteen surviving children born to Louis and Donalda Tremblay. Survived by his wife of 64 years, Nancy (nee Ringuette) seven children, Brent (Catherine), Kirk, Tamra Paleczny (Jim), Shelley Desjardins (Paul), Wade (Dana), Michael (Lori), Marnie Wells (Jared), sisters Lina Moyle (Emerson deceased), Isabelle Cunningham (Bryan deceased), Bernadette Watson (Bruce deceased), and Aurlie Double (John), fourteen precious grandchildren: Justin, Brianna, Carley, Jeremy, Evan, Taylor, Justine, Chelsey, Sebastien, Tristan, Franceska, Tabitha, Simeon, Owen and six great-grandchildren: Hunter & Kian, Carson, Elise & Clara, Myles.

Predeceased by his son Frankie (Sept.1993), seven brothers Leonard (Nan), Claude, Aldege (Alice), Raymond (Charlene), Donald (Jean surviving), Edward, Denis, two sisters, Jeanette Menard (Gabe), Evelyn Sommers (Grant),

Frank was a much loved and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a devoted firefighter and was proud to be a Captain. Frank was very grateful for family, friends, wonderful neighbours, the gift of faith, the 12 step program, love of running, an avid golfer, Montreal Canadians and many years spent at his cottage on Lake Temiskaming.

Family receiving friends at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Rd, Friday, September 25, 2 to 4 pm  and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral Mass (by invitation only due to Covid 19) will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 399 Airport Rd. on Saturday September 26,  at twelve noon.

In accordance with current directives from the Bereavement Authority of Ontario in regard to COVID 19 the total number of attendees is limited and additional precautions are in place. Face masks are mandatory at the funeral home and the church. For more information please contact the funeral home.

Memorial donations made to St. Peter's Church building fund, Parkinson's Society, North Bay Right to Life, or Nipissing Serenity Hospice would be appreciated.
