Johnnie “Mike” Kirkpatrick, age 73 of Corner, AL passed away on September 22, 2020 at his home in Corner with his loved ones at his side. He was an ordained deacon at Bellevue Baptist Church at Sandusky. He was a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church and New Temple Baptist in Bagley. His life’s accomplishments included supervisor of vehicle maintenance for the US Postal Service and owner/operator of Po’ Boys Tires. His most enjoyable work was assisting his son in helping to grow their business, M. T. Kirkpatrick Housemovers.
Everyone that knew Mike, knew his grin. He was happy just to be around people and had an easygoing personality. He enjoyed tailgating at Alabama football games, and his and Linda’s yearly trips to the mountains in Gatlinburg, TN. He cherished his time being Pop Pop Mike to his grandchildren, and loved life to the fullest.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Herron and Johnnie Kirkpatrick.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Odom Kirkpatrick; son, Todd (Ashley); brother, Max (Susan); niece Emily; and four grandchildren, Eli, Ethan, Everett, and Emma Carol; and numerous nephews, nieces, family and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday September 25, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Adamsville, Alabama.
