Butch Simac Eagle River, Wisconsin Obituary

Butch Simac

Butch Simac finished his work here on Earth on September 24, 2020. He spent his entire life doing his best to help others and achieve the goals he believed GOD had requested him to complete. He set the bar very high for the 9 children he committed to raising and was so very proud of the wonderful people they all have become. His heart was full of love for their children and he truly loved making Eagle River his lifelong home. His passion for turning his little plot of vacant land into a horse and cattle ranch was achieved by his endless hours of hard work and big dreams! He loved so many great friends through the years who shared in his passion of bow and duck hunting. His favorite trips were to Alaska to fish with Vince and Amie and to North Dakota for duck hunting. He always looked forward to spring trips to Maui with best friends Jim and Debbie. Many will remember his larger than life reputation on the ice as an Eagle River Falcon and he always made it a priority for the kids to play. He very much enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s hockey games and was very proud of their hard work and dedication to the game. He recently was able to celebrate the homecoming of his oldest grandson Joseph from Afghanistan and was extremely proud of his service to the country he loved. Butch loved life and made the most of each and everyday while he could. While we are certain he would have wanted to stay with all of us for so much longer, we find great solace in knowing that his faith was strong and that he is enjoying the company of his son Jed who was waiting for him to arrive home. A memorial service will be at 2pm on Sunday September 27, 2020 at Kula Ranch which is located at 3860 Kula Vista Drive Eagle River, WI. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. A luncheon will follow.
