Diane Lessard Timmins, Ontario Obituary

Diane Lessard

The family announces with great sorrow her passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the age of 65 years after a long battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Marcel Villars. Loving mother of Julie (Ray) Bryan of Orillia. Cherished grandmother of Brandon Verrino of Ottawa. Dear sister of Robert Lessard of Scarborough. Sister-in-law of Lucille (Raymond), Ernie (late Sharron), Denis (Rosie), Donald (Trish), Nicole (Robin), Louise (Gaston), Lorraine (late Gilles) and Lucien. Adored godmother of Diane Portugie and her three children of Timmins. Caring fur mama of her cats Riley and Princess. Diane will be sadly missed by all her family members and numerous great friends. Predeceased by her parents Alphonse and Lucienne Lessard, her brother Daniel, her brother-in-law Rheal and sister-in-law Claudette. Diane was full of life and had a kind and generous nature. She loved her family and friends dearly, and was always available. Having a bubbly personality, she easily made friends with everyone she met. Like her father, she had a passion for cooking and gardening. She also enjoyed nature and feeding the little wildlife around the cottage. She loved all animals, and supported associated charities. A memorial mass will be held in her honour on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Dominique Catholic Church (365 Norman St., Timmins, ON). Masks and social distancing measures will be required. Remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S. Timmins, ON
