<p>Oliver B. &quot;Duke&quot; Christenson, age 89. Devoted family man, passed away on September 23, 2020. Beloved husband of&nbsp; 57 years to Wanda Lee Christenson (nee Cumbee). Loving father of Gerry Neill, Nancy (MIke) Hullinger, Donna (Brett) Zischke, Bernie (Stefani) Christenson, Brenda (Patrick) Keeley, Barbara Barsi, and Steven Christenson. Oliver &ldquo;Duke&rdquo; was a retired Police Captain and 30 year member of&nbsp; the Oak Forest Police Department.&nbsp; He was cherished by 27 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, brother-in law Bud (Pat) Cumbee, and sister-in-law Marilyn (Jim) McIlvoy.&nbsp; Duke loved being a father, a grandpa and great grandfather. It was his calling in life and it kept him young at heart.&nbsp; He was preceded in death by parents, Hazel Trumpey and Thornwald Christenson, siblings Donna Haldin and Daviid Christenson, mother-in-law Evelyn &ldquo;Granny&rdquo; Cumbee, sister-in law Judy Lamonto and children Larry Christenson Terry Fredrickson and Michael Mroz and granddaughter Mary Kate Keeley. Visitation Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 9:00am until time of Funeral Service at 12:00pm Pastor Jamie Deuser of the Church @ Southland Officiating) at the Maher Funeral Home, 17101 71st Ave in Tinley Park (located in the Old Tinley Library). Oliver B. "Duke" Christenson, age 89. Devoted family man, passed away on September 23, 2020. Beloved husband of  57 years to Wanda Lee Christenson (nee Cumbee).
