Joseph Michael Russell

Joseph Michael Russell, 27, passed away on September 19, 2020. He was the cherished son of Anne Marie Russell and the late Michael Anthony Russell; the loving brother of Alexandria (Andy) Stancati; the proud uncle of Leo and Stella; the favorite grandchild of Grandmother Frances Crowe; and a surprisingly caring dog dad to Riley. Joseph attended New Trier High School and graduated from Miami University in 2015, where he studied Finance and was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. After college, he moved to Lexington, KY where he worked for Community Trust as a portfolio manager. He was intelligent, determined, and successful at a young age. Like his father, Joseph was an excellent golfer. Whether he was making incredible putts, talking to himself, or just riding in the cart with you, golf was always more enjoyable with Joseph. His family will miss golfing with him in northern Michigan and at the Russell annual golf outing. His friends will miss the countless golf weekends and trips over the years. Joseph held a special bond with his many cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends. His sense of commitment and kindness to the people in his life was unmatched. He will be greatly missed.
