His passion was growing flowers and vegetables and could often be found on his tractor preparing for the next planting. He loved the outdoors and prioritized time for hiking, fishing, and hunting. He grew up loving music and would often share his talents on the accordion. Most Sundays one could find him leading the singing in services with his wife playing the organ. Rodney spent much of his later years travelling and exploring the world with Mary Lou. When not travelling he loved working his farm in Sumner and later in Enumclaw Washington. His produce and flowers were very popular amongst the locals and all new they were welcome to take what they needed and help when they could. He loved to share and teach the art of farming and to appreciate the blessings of the harvest; many lives were impacted by his willingness to share his time and abundance.
