Mrs. Sharon Annette Hudson, 63 passed away peacefully at home in Newport News on September 23, 2020, surrounded by family.  She was born November 25,1956 in York County, Virginia. She was educated in the York County Public School system.

 

She was employed with the Newport News Public School system at Hines Middle School, retiring in October 2019 after 30 years of service.

 

She is preceded in death by her mother Alberta Louise Banks and her father Linwood Carter; her brothers Fred Banks, Jr., Clifford Banks, Michael Banks, Rodney Banks and a sister Sheila Banks.

 

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Henry Hudson, her daughter Marlechia “Lisa” Brown, two granddaughters Ciara Nichole Banks and Mahogany Nigera Rawles, and her only great-grandson Mason Lee Hamilton.

 

She also leaves to cherish her memory three loving sisters Louise Pharr, Diane Banks, Ruth Walker; one loving brother Whelton Banks, her two favorite nieces Tasha Banks and Anyia Banks, and a host of family and friends.

 

Viewing for Mrs. Hudson will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00p.m. Friday, October 2, 2020. prior to service at the Church.

 

Services will be held for Mrs. Hudson 1:00p.m. Friday, October 2, 2020 at Emmanuel Baptist Church 521 North ave. Newport News, VA. by Pastor Howard Heard.

 

Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park with a Horse Drawn Carriage that will take Mrs. Hudson to final resting place. 

 

Per the family family request please try to wear Blue that was Mrs. Hudson favorite color.  If you are planning to attend  the service please contact the family,  because space is limited due to social distances please wear your mask.  

 

It is the desire of the Hudson family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
