Michael Blaise Fazio, 61, passed away on September 20, 2020 at Inova Fairfax Hospital. Born in Zanesville, Ohio, he was the son of Joseph and Rose Fazio, and the brother of Joanna, Conni and Glady. He was the father of Joanna Fazio Brown. In 2018, he retired from Owens Corning Science and Technology after a more than 40 years of service. Throughout his career he earned multiple patents and accolades related to the production of fiberglass composites. He was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Church. He enjoyed fishing, spending time outdoors, classic cars, traveling and spending time with friends and family. He will be remembered for his kindness, his gentle spirit, his intelligence and wit, his persistence, and above all his love and dedication to his family, especially his daughter. He is survived by his daughter, Joanna (Benjamin and step-daughter Andie), and his sisters Conni (Sandy) and Glady. He was predeceased by his sister Joanna (Malcolm), and his parents Joseph and Rose Fazio. The memorial service will be held on September 27, at 1:00 p.m. at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, and via Zoom. He will be interred at St. Joseph Cemetery, in Ohio.
