Edna Ray Brown Obituary

Edna Ray (Bell) Brown, 91, of Florence, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. She retired from the Hamilton Township Board of Education where she was a “lunch lady” for many years. Edna enjoyed reading, quilting and crocheting and made baby blankets for all of her 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Edna and her late husband Stanley enjoyed camping and vacationing in Florida. They were married for 56 years. Edna is survived by her son, Dennis Brown and wife, Deborah; her daughter, Debbie McElvaine and husband, Dennis and son, David Brown and wife, Joyce; her 7 grandchildren, Justin Brown and wife, Bonnie, Matthew Brown and wife, Melissa, Jason Brown and wife, Angela, Brian Brown and wife, Kristen, Joseph Brown and wife, Sherry, Shannon Pizzuta and husband, Tom and Timothy McElvaine and wife, Kelly; her 12 great grandchildren, Easton and Masen McElvaine, River, Hadley, Aiden, Ethan, Logan, Gunnar, Dustin, Annabelle, Payton and Parker Brown, and #13 on his way. Edna is also survived by her brother, Ray Bell and sister, Norma Eades and husband, Jack; as well as her several nieces and nephews. All services will be private under the direction of the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Edna’s name can be made to Samaritan Hospice of Mount Laurel, NJ.
