Emily K. Collins, a longtime resident of Macomb County, was received into the loving arms of Jesus on September 22, 2020. She was 92 years of age. Emily was born in Racine, Wisconsin on September 11, 1928. She loved and cherished her family and friends above everything else. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Gerald, on August 30, 1972 in Macomb County. They made their home first in St. Clair Shores and later in Roseville and Clinton Township. Emily and Gerald were blessed with 6 wonderful children, 15 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. She was an outgoing and loving soul, which led her to Meijer where she worked as a greeter. She retired from the Lapeer store in 2004. She enjoyed picnics and family reunions, camping and fishing, spending holidays with those she loved, and traveling with family to California, Florida, and Maine. Emily is the loving wife of the late Gerald; beloved mother of Thomas (Barbara) Voutsas, James Voutsas, Dorthea Griffith, Georgia (Arthur) Simon, Elaine (Gary) Hovis, and Michael (Jocelyn) Collins; dear sister of James Karavite and Lola Paris; and cherished grandmother of 15 and great-grandmother of 19. Visitation will be held at Faulmann and Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Michigan on Monday, September 28, 2020 from 3-6 p.m. until the time of the funeral at 6 p.m. Entombment will take place at Christian Memorial Cultural Center in Rochester Hills on Tuesday, September 29, 2020.
