Cheryl Lynn Lawrence

Of Windsor, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at home in her own bed, surrounded by those who loved her. Cindy graduated with honours from Kay Anslow Business School and worked as a medical secretary. She loved to sew, cook, read, go for drives and travel to warm places in the winter. She loved her children and especially her grandchildren, who provided her so much joy and happiness. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, John; daughter, Melanie; sons, Michael and Paul; mother, Ethel Wilcox; grandchildren, Emma and Erika Lawrence, Rylan Greeno, Matthew and Maddison Sexton; sisters, Sharon Jacklyn and Heather Caldwell. Cindy was predeceased by her father, Charles Wilcox; infant sister, Crystal and sisters, Hazel Lantz and Gail Rockwell; brother, Larry Wilcox. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert Street, Windsor (902-798-8317). There will be a public graveside service on Sunday, September 27 at 1 p.m. in Maplewood Cemetery, 1186 King St., Windsor, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. COVID-19 physical distancing guidelines must be followed. It is recommended that you wear a mask and if needed, please bring your own lawn chair and umbrella. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Cindy may be made to Canadian Cancer Society NS Division, 5826 South St., Halifax, NS B3H 1S6.
