Willie Earl Bean Sr. “SAM”

 

Willie Bean Sr. was born to Cathy Brown and the late William R. Bean on November 28, in Lamar, MS. He gained his wings on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Methodist Hospital in Olive Branch, MS.

“Sam” was united in Holy matrimony to his loving, devoted wife Mary Thompson October 15, 1975.

“Sam” was a life-long leader in the community that would help anyone he could. He was involved in the following: Founder of DeBerry and Bean Insurance, Bean’s Home Day Care, Farmer, Affordable Taxes- Tax Consultant, Real Estate Owner/Manager, Foster Parent, and a Wonderful, Loving Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather.

 

Sam” leaves to continue his legacy his loving wife of 44 years Mary T. Bean of Lamar, MS, his mother Cathy Brown of Bolivar, TN, 7 daughters and 4 sons: Mary Ann Hodges (Eric), Samantha McKinnie (Teragus), Willie Earl Bean Jr. (Carla), William Bean, Sherry Bean of Lamar, MS, Melissa Wilson (Cedric Jr.) of Olive Branch, MS, Detrice Williams (Monterrio) of Middleton, TN, Cordero Bean of Lamar, MS, Melinda Thurston (Tatum) of Lamar, MS, Mario Bean of Lamar, MS and in 2009 Jaziah Bean entered the family. Martiea Patterson is his special and deeply loved “god daughter” and grandchild.

“Sam” was preceded in death by his father William “Buddy” Bean and a brother Kenneth Bean.

Sam leaves to cherish his memory his loving siblings: Janice Buckner of St. Louis, MO, Linda (Donald) McTizic of Bolivar, TN, Shirley (Perry) Moon of Jacksonville, FL, Gracie and Brenda Brown of Tupelo, MS, and Eddie Brown of Los Angeles, CA.

“Sam” was loved by many and shared 6 extended “children”/brothers-in-law: Marwill Hampton of Germantown, TN, John Hampton (Louis) of Grand Junction, TN, Cedric (Dortha) Thompson, Jerry Lewis Thompson (Marie), Willie Henry Thompson, James Thompson (Shirley), and 4 sisters-in-law: Margaret Hampton of Horn Lake, MS, Ida B. Hampton of Olive Branch, MS, Bernice Underwood (Daryll), and Gertha Roberts (Charles).

“Sam” leaves to continue his legacy and life lesson his special treasures 23 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
