Floyd R. Schwenk Sr. of Lykens passed away Wednesday September 23, 2020 at home. Floyd was born May 26, 1936 at Schuylkill Haven, Pa. to the late George and Helena Deibert Schwenk. Floyd was a Veteran of the Pa. National Guard 722D Transportation Co. from 1953 to 1961. He was a member of the Gratz VFW, Williamstown American Legion, the Lykens United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, puzzles and spending time with his family. Floyd is survived by a son Floyd R. Schwenk II, a daughter Kathryn Talhelm and husband David, grandchildren Daniel and wife Lauren, Floyd III, Trisha and Kathryn E., a great grandson Hayden, and a sister Joyce Betz Sponsler. In addition to his parents Floyd was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy A. Morris Schwenk, brothers George Schwenk Jr., Edward Schwenk and Harold Betz Jr., and a sister Janet Schwenk Frederick. Memorial service will be private at the convenience of the family.
