<p>It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lena Krawec on September 22, 2020 at Dauphin Regional Health Centre at the age of 92.</p> <p>Lena was one of eight children born to Peter and Annie Kolochuk on February 17, 1928 in Volga, Manitoba.&nbsp; She was predeceased by her husbands, William Seniuk (1979) and Harry Krawec (1996); parents, Peter and Annie; brothers, John and Walter; sister Olga; son, Melvin; granddaughter, Tara-rae; son-in-law, Joseph Hrom. She is survived by daughter, Geraldine; granddaughters, Jodi (Steven) and Kelly (Gil);&nbsp;one grandson, Kirk; great grandchildren, Brooklynn, Lukas, Isabelle, and Brandon; daughter-in-law, Harriet Seniuk;&nbsp;brothers, Mike and William (Sylvia); sisters, Mary and Helen (Walter); sister-in-law, Donna.&nbsp;She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Lena married William Seniuk on October 20, 1945.&nbsp;After marrying William, they moved to a farm in Oak Brae, Manitoba where they farmed and raised their family.&nbsp;She was a very hard worker on the farm, from milking the cows, feeding the pigs, and helping William with the hay.&nbsp;After Williams passing, Lena sold the farm and moved to Dauphin and started her career as a home care worker.&nbsp;After her retirement, she married, Harry Krawec, they enjoyed traveling and sightseeing.&nbsp;She was a devoted parishioner at the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Dauphin, she was heavily involved in the Ukrainian Catholic Womens League.</p> <p>Lena enjoyed many things, like picking berries and mushrooms, playing many games of cards with her friends and family. In the winter months she enjoyed to knitting and crochet. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.&nbsp;Lena loved making and baking for her family, whether it be perogies and cabbage rolls to cinnamon buns and lemon meringue pie for Steven.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Vichnaya Pamyat</p> <p>The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire donations in memory of Lena may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Manitoba.</p> <p>A private Funeral Service was held on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 10:00 am from Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin, MB with Very Rev Father Oleg Bodnarski officiating.&nbsp; Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery - Dauphin in Dauphin, MB.&nbsp;</p>
