Myrna Roylin "Crickette" Hague Obituary

Myrna Roylin Hague “Crickette” was born September 15, 1949 to Roy Amos and Freda Lavanna “Bonnie” Miller. Crickette, the baby of the family with three older brothers, was a self-proclaimed spoiled tomboy who loved to fish. Her dad worked at Tinker Air Force and her mother worked as an RN. Crickette graduated from Choctaw High School then attended Paul’s Cosmetology School where she obtained her Cosmetology license. She worked out of Brown’s Beauty shop and later out of the home. Crickette married the love of her life, Kent, on August 4, 1972 and they enjoyed 48 beautiful years of marriage. Soon after being married, Kent and Crickette had their 3 boys, Kevin, Branch, and Beau. Because Kent worked out of town most days, Crickette gladly took on the role of raising her boys. She was both the leader of the party and the enforcer of discipline. Being a tough strong woman raising 3 boys was just what the Lord wanted for Crickette. She was a terrific mother and thought all of her boys were perfect little angels. She served and provided for her boys and Kent with all she had. In the early years of their marriage, Crickette heard a pastor preach one night and heard many scriptures that spoke to her. One was “no one is righteous, not even one”. This was when Crickette, who always thought she was pretty much perfect, realized she was a sinner just like everyone else. It was through this revelation that Crickette came to the knowledge that she had to get lost to get saved. That same night, Crickette went home and according to her own testimony “cried with a godly sorrow”, realizing she needed the forgiveness of Jesus. She asked Jesus into her heart and the next morning, she woke up with a “peace that surpasses all understanding”. After her salvation, she became a “soul winner”. Weekly she would go out and witness door to door to anyone who would listen and she would often say, “I’m hungry for a soul”. If you visited with Crickette for any length of time, you would leave the conversation convicted or saved, as she shared the love of Jesus with everyone she knew! She was a true follower of Jesus! Crickette is preceded in death by her parents and three older brothers Ralph, Phillip, and Dennis. She is survived by her husband Kent, three sons Kevin, Branch and Beau and wife Heather. Five grandchildren Brylei, Hudson, Madeline, Hank and Hampton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mustang Benevolence Fund. Funeral Services will be 10:00am, Thursday, September 24, 2020 at First Baptist, Mustang with interment to follow at 3:30pm in the Mt Vernon Cemetery, Billings, Oklahoma.
