James J. Snedden Sr., age 80, of Leesburg entered eternal peace on Saturday, September 19th, 2020. Born in Alverda, PA, to the late Darrel and Margaret Snedden, he and his wife, of 59 years, Joan moved to FL in 2004 after his retirement. James served in the Army where he was stationed in Germany. A loving and devoted husband and father, James spent most of his life in CT where he worked as a machinist for 31 years at Sikorsky Aircraft. He is survived by his loving wife Joan, 3 sons - James Snedden, Jr., NY, Michael (Deborah) Snedden, Leesburg, FL, Mark (Gina) Snedden, Cheshire, CT; 4 grandchildren, Joseph, Kristy, Jeremy, and Blake; 2 great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service celebrating the life of James Snedden, Sr. will be held at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel on October 10, 2020 at 3:00 pm. A private burial will take place later at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. .
