Carolyn McDaniel Free, age 84, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Seasons Hospice. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2020 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Free will lie-in-state at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. A private interment service will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery. Mrs. Free was a founding member of Heritage Fellowship. She was a member of the Eastern Star, an avid reader and Braves fan. Carolyn enjoyed playing games and cards with her friends and also loved traveling. She had been to all 50 states. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Jack Free; 2 brothers; and 1 sister. She is survived by her children, Kathy McKissick (Chuck), Billy Free (Debbie) and Amy Rowe (Harvey); grandchildren, Casey, Andy, Anna (Maegan), Ryan, Jake and Emily; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
