Chris Brandstrup, 80, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky, Ohio. He was born on February 28, 1940 in Sandusky, the son of the late Christian and Louise Brandstrup. Chris worked at D.G. Trim in Fremont, Ohio until his retirement in 1995. He was a 32 degree Mason in Clyde, Ohio as well as a life member and past commodore at Nugent’s Canal Yacht Club in Port Clinton. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Deb Brandstrup; sons, Christian “CJ” Brandstrup, Fremont, Ohio, Kirk (Kathryn) Brandstrup, Florida, Jamie (Paula) Greider, and Kendal (Sunshine) Greider; ten grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Jeannie; brother, Jim Brandstrup; sisters, Ellie Kraus and Amilia Killmenner; and great-granddaughter, Gracie. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the family. The Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton, Ohio, assisted the family with arrangements.
