Dorothy was born in Weyburn, SK,  she was one of the oldest of 10 children born to Russ and Dorothy McFadden.  She attended North Weyburn School, where she remembered going by horse and cutter to school, no matter what the weather.  She also attended Weyburn Collegiate, where she met her high school sweetheart, Robert Hack and later married him in April of 1955.  They would celebrate 61 years of marriage before Robert passed away. During those 61 years, they were blessed with 3 children, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were the apples of her eye. Dorothy loved to crochet and knit and was a member of the Legion.

For many years, she and her husband would garden together.  Dorothy also worked outside the home for many years but her favorite job she had was her last job as a nurse’s aide at the Union Hospital.

She loved small family gatherings on Sunday night and looked forward to Christmas Eve when the whole family would get together, which usually included some of her famous cabbage rolls. The biggest highlight Dorothy looked forward to was anytime she got to spend with her grandkids.

A Private Family Graveside service was held at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Weyburn, SK with funeral celebrant Judy Beck.

For family and friends so wishing, charitable donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to the Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation, Box 1416, Weyburn, SK, S4H 3J9.
