<p>Mrs. Wanda Sue Joyner Kersey, age 64, of Vidalia, died Friday, September 18, 2020, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after a brief illness.&nbsp; She was born in Ft. Rucker, Alabama and lived most of her life in Vidalia.&nbsp; She worked at Sherry&rsquo;s BBQ, Carter&rsquo;s BBQ, Smith&rsquo;s Fried Chicken, Holiday Inn and Main Street Grocery.&nbsp;&nbsp; She was a member of Marietta Free Will Baptist Church, and Wanda enjoyed Antiquing and reading.&nbsp; She was preceded in death by a grandson, Duncan Scott Wallace; parents, Talmadge Franklin Joyner and Evelyn Cassie Beck Joyner; and two brothers, James Joyner and Robbie Joyner.</p> <p>Mrs. Kersey is survived by her husband, Elton Kersey of Vidalia; three children, Christy Connell of Vidalia, Misti Brown of Macon, and Elton C. Kersey of Vidalia; one sister, Linda Joyner of Vidalia; one brother, Tommy Joyner of Lyons; two grandchildren, Jasmine Sky Connell and Thomas J. Brown; one great-grandson, Hendrix Coleman Blackshear; and several nieces and nephews.</p> <p>A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 23rd, at 11:00 a.m. in the Lyons City Cemetery with Pastor Ken Murphy officiating.</p>
