Kenneth Jerome Farley, Sr.

<p>Kenneth J. Farley Sr. &ldquo;Kenny&rdquo; was born on July 21, 1952 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Willa Mae Farley and Charles Farley Sr. Kenny was the youngest of seven children. He departed this life on the morning of Monday, September 21, 2020.</p> <p>Kenny accepted Christ at an early age with the Catholic faith and attended St. Anthony School. Later Kenny went on to Taft High School. Kenny loved his family, but second to family he truly enjoyed working. Kenny&nbsp; began his career in his teenage years, his major employers were Borden Chemicals and General Electric (Symmes Rd). During his 20+ year tenure at General Electric. He made lasting friendships where he was affectionately known as &ldquo;Rooster&rdquo;. After renovation of the GE cafeteria it was renamed Rooster Caf&eacute; in appreciation of his dedication and hard work to the company.&nbsp;</p> <p>He was an extraordinarily loving,&nbsp;out spoken, family- oriented man who loved to eat out at restaurants and enjoyed watching football; his favorite team was the Cincinnati Bengals. He was a hardworking, structured and extremely clean man. In his younger days, he was known to dress stylish in custom tailored clothing. He was loved by ALL family members both young and old, friends, and co-workers. His laugh and humor were very contagious and will be missed.</p> <p>Kenny became ill in 2018 and fought a long-hard battle with cancer, but remained positive and faithful in spirit. During his treatment at Good Samaritan Hospital he earned the name of &ldquo;Skinny Kenny&rdquo; at the chemo and radiation department.&nbsp;</p> <p>Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, Willa Mae and Charles;&nbsp; wife, Christine; sisters: Anna Walker &ldquo;Baby Doll&rdquo; and Daisy Heath; brother, Nathaniel Marshall &ldquo;June Boy&rdquo;; brother in-law(s), Richard Walker, Casper Heath &ldquo;Pig&rdquo;; grandchild, Kevon Farley; step-child, Rev. Limmie Snell III.&nbsp;<br /> Kenny is survived by his children: Monique Hallums, Kenneth Farley Jr., Byron Farley (Victoria), and Kellie Farley; step-children: Lisa Snell-Harrell( Jonathan), Lemia &ldquo;Lynn&rdquo; Broy (Greg), Lamont Snell, and Michell Oliver (Richard); grandchildren: Marijah, Dion&rsquo;Taye, Keon, Kala, Myracle, Kaniece, Keenan, Reaghan, Brynn, Byron Jr., Skiana, and Kyron; great-grandchild, Zion; step-grandchildren(14)/great grand-children (16); brothers: Theodore (Ella), and Charles (Jean); sister, Geraldine; nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends. We would like to give a special thanks to his niece Carol.</p> <p>The gathering&nbsp;is from 2:00 pm&nbsp;until 2:30 pm&nbsp;on Friday, October 2, 2020&nbsp;at the Walker Funeral Home, 7272 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Kenneth J. Farley Sr. “Kenny” was born on July 21, 1952 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Willa Mae Farley and Charles Farley Sr. Kenny was the youngest of seven children. He departed this life on the morning of Monday, September 21, 2020.
