Sonan Lynn Ashley, 63, resident of Ashley Lane, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Self Regional Healthcare. Born March 17, 1957 in Greenwood, she was the daughter of Barbara Tribble Ashley and the late Charles Leonard Ashley. She was a graduate of University of South Carolina where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Sonan was previously employed by Greenwood Methodist Home, now Wesley Commons and also the owner of Mary Ella’s Gift Shop. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to her mother, are a sister, Dosia Ashley of Greenwood; two nephews, Charlie (Cresta) Eakin and John “JB” Waters, both of Greenwood; adoptive grandchildren, Rob and Karis Young. The family will receive friends and family from 1-3 PM Saturday at 122 Crestview Drive. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
