Denise Fisher Obituary

Denise was born in Wadena, MN on April 12th, 1945 at Wesley Hospital in Wadena, Minnesota.  Her parents were the late William and Obeline (Fournier) Jolly. Denise was a graduate of Wadena High School with the class of 1963.

On October 5, 1963, Denise was united in marriage with Richard “Dick” Fisher at the United Methodist Church in Verndale , Minnesota. They had their first child, Tammy, on August 3rd, 1964. Their second child, Rick, was born on February 9th, 1968. They then moved to Madison, Minnesota. Denise and Richard opened a furniture store on August 4th, 1970. As co-owner of Fisher Furniture, Denise used her talent of design to assist customers with their decorating needs. Shortly after opening their store, Denise and Richard welcomed their third child, Tracy, on October 7th, 1970.

Denise enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, collecting umbrella figurines, and listening to 50’s music.  Denise and Dick enjoyed traveling to furniture shows through out the United States and special vacations to Hawaii and Spain.

On September 20, 2020, Denise passed away unexpectedly at 75 years of age at the Madison Hospital in Madison, Minnesota. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Preceding Denise in death are her parents William and Obeline Jolly.

Denise is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” Fisher, her children Tammy Fisher, Rick Fisher (Don Hoffmann), and Tracy Fisher, her granddaughter Alana Peterson (Thomas Peterson), and her great-grandsons Ryler, Roycen, and Raidyn, and her sisters Rachele Reese (Jim Reese) and Michele Hulst (Rock Hulst); many other relatives and a host of friends.
