CPL Paul Ladd Allen, U.S. Army (Ret.) Obituary

Paul Ladd Allen, 91, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, September 21, 2020. Born in Gary, Indiana, Paul was the son of the late Grover and Corine Jackson Allen. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Among many other medals received, Paul earned the Korean Service Medal with five Bronze Service Stars before retiring as a Corporal. After his time in the military, Paul continued to serve his community as a Supervisor at the United States Postal Service for several years until his final retirement. In his spare time, Paul loved taking long walks, watching television - especially westerns and the Atlanta Braves, traveling and going on cruises. He also enjoyed spending time with others; he never met a stranger. Paul was a faithful and active member of Fellowship Bible Baptist Church in Warner Robins. His loving and devoted wife, Sonja Turner Allen, and a host of special family and friends will forever treasure his memory. Visitation will be Friday, September 25, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2020, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Mr. Allen will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery. For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/. McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
