Michelle Robinson Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Michelle Robinson (55) announce her passing Monday, September 21,2020, surrounded by family at her home. Born December 08, 1964 to Claudia Barrett Chester, she grew up in Shelby with her father Walter Chester, 2 younger brothers (Walter and Daniel) and younger sister (Kimberly). She is a graduate of Shelby High School, in Shelby Mi. Before meeting the love of her life, her “Bear”, she had a daughter named Devon Bryn, who currently resides in Hart, Mi with her husband Matthew Cowles and their 3 children. September 29th 1985 she married her “bear” aka Michael Robinson. 2 years later they were gifted with the birth of Riley, of Grand Haven, Mi, where she lives with her husband Derek Uhrbrock and their 2 girls. Michelle leaves behind her 5 grandkids; Casey, Gage, Brielle, Chandler, and Kora. Michelle was well known for her creative mind. She was an award winning poet, and also has 3 published novels. She was also known for her wild spirit, love for animals and the natural world. If there was any free time in her day, she was either out at the pier… saving an animal… or chasing storms. On the inside of her book, she autographed it “the first of my two reasons to succeed - the basis of my determination and inspiration to keep me focused on realizing that without dreams and goals, life, is tepid and meaningless. Always dare to chase your dreams - embrace life - go for it. Most of all never compromise and take this wretched, twisted world by storm and make of it what you want it to be! I leave you with this quote from Michelle. Lets remember the positive years, the happy years, the joyous years. She will be missed by family and friends. Due to the current Covid pandemic all memorial arrangements are currently on hold. The family will update when arrangements are made. The family would like to thank the ICU team at Mercy Health in Muskegon, They were so considerate to the family during this hard time and made things a lot more easy on everyone. The family was assisted by Grace Cremations, www.GraceCremations.com.
