<p><strong>Ray Lowe, age 65, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Scott County, TN on February 24, 1955, he was the son of the late Sherwood (Shirley) and Mildred Lowe.</strong></p> <p><strong>In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Columbus and Dora Carroll and Egbert and Evelyne Lowe; uncles, Authur and Carl Lowe, Doyle Ray and Odeva Carroll; aunts, Francis Vanover, Audrey Goodman, and Grace Gibson.</strong></p> <p><strong>Ray is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Nancy Lowe; daughters, Angela Strunk, Mary Jane Lowe and Shayla Lowe; one son, Lucas Lowe and wife Becky; two grandchildren that he raised as his own, Gage and Stormie Lowe; other special grandchildren, Shanly and Braily Lowe, Samantha and Zack Strunk; sisters, Debbie Claborn and husband James, Mickey Hembree and husband Dean, Peggy Ross and husband Wesley; brothers, Roger Lowe and wife Myrtle, Donnie Lowe and wife Trudy, Lonnie Dean Lowe, Authur David Lowe and wife Mona; special aunts, Novella, Lorene, Loma, Novene, Alene, Annette and Frankie; a special friend, Andrew Lowe; many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.</strong></p> <p><strong>Friends may visit with the Lowe family on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 1 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Edmond Lowe and Bro. Buster Massengale officiating. Music will be provided by the Mason family.</strong></p> <p><strong>Committal service will follow in the Smokey Creek Cemetery in Huntsville. Pallbearers will be: Lonnie Dean Lowe, Donnie Lowe, Quenton Lowe, Gage Lowe, Chris Claborn and Sherwood Hembree.</strong></p> <p><strong>With the Health Guidelines in place at this time, we ask that you be mindful of the social distancing measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control. Masks are required.</strong></p> <p><strong>West-Murley Funeral Home is serving the family of Ray Lowe.</strong></p>
