Beverly Wells, 93 year old Mooreland resident, passed away September 15, 2020. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home. Beverly Ann (Butcher) Wells was born on July 22, 1928 in Shenandoah, Iowa to Lyndell V. and Gladys (Royce) Butcher. She grew up in the Shenandoah area before moving to Mooreland, Oklahoma. Beverly attended and later graduated from Woodward High School. She was united in marriage to Glenn Young in Dallas, Texas in 1957. The couple made there first home in Grand Junction, Colorado before returning to Woodward, Oklahoma. Beverly was a professional musician and also worked at the recycling center they owned. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, working, cats, and seeing her family. Her grandchildren, music, and her friends and family were her greatest enjoyment in life. She is survived by her grandchildren, Emily Young and Chase Young; and her great grandchildren, Kinley, Cole, Logan, and Alice. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Young; son, Cy Young; daughter in law, Mindy Young; and sister, Evlin.
