England, 66, a resident of the Hillsboro community, died Saturday evening, September 19, 2020 at the Harmony Guest Home in Hillsboro, Oregon. A Family Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at 1:00 PM at the Fuiten, Rose & Hoyt Funeral Home, 2308 Pacific Avenue in Forest Grove, with Pastor Bryan Austring of Helvetia Community Church officiating. Burial Rites and Interment will follow at the Tualatin Plains Presbyterian Church Cemetery (Old Scotch Church Cemetery), 30685 N.W. Scotch Church Road in Hillsboro. DEBRA COLEEN ENGLAND was born on October 7, 1953 in Hillsboro, Oregon, the daughter of the late Coy Leroy Hicks and Eunice Fleta (Vance) Hicks. She was raised in the North Plains community, having attended North Plains Elementary School and later Hillsboro Union High School, having been a graduate of the Class of 1971. She had been a member of the North Plains Christian Church and United Church of Christ in Hillsboro in her youth. She was united in marriage to William J. “Bill” Hall on October 17, 2001 in Reno, Nevada. Following their marriage, they made their home in the communities of Hillsboro and Forest Grove. Debra was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Hall, on February 12, 2019 in Hillsboro, after celebrating over seventeen years of marriage together. She had worked as a customer service representative and installation technician in the medical accounting software industry for Vital Works and Amicas both in Washington and Oregon. And enjoyed her travels to Nashville, Tennessee, and New Orleans in that capacity. Clients and family knew “Debbie” as an outgoing, fun loving, gregarious person. She enjoyed her travel, and her friends. She eagerly accompanied her sister Loretta on trips to Reno for slot tournaments when they weren’t caring for her brother and brother-in-law at Avamere. Holidays always found her at “mom’s” (her mother-in-law, Lora Hall’s home) eating, laughing, and playing games. Her main interests were computers, cats, and cheesecake, the three C’s. Debra was also preceded in death by her parents, Coy and Eunice Hicks; by her sister, Mary “Lucille” Shaw, and her brother, Donald “Robert” Hicks. Survivors include her three sisters, Loretta Housley of Hillsboro, Frances O’Dell and Ed Gantz of Beaverton, Linda and Ken Warren of Dundee, her mother-in-law, Lora Hall of Hillsboro; sister-in-law Jody and Matt Buttrell of Vancouver, Washington, brother-in-law Daniel and Teri Hall of McMinnville. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. The family suggests that contributions in remembrance can be sent to the Helvetia Community Church, 11295 NW Helvetia Rd, Hillsboro, OR 97124; Alzheimer's Disease Research - Memorial Donations; or to the Cat Adoption Team, 14175 SW Galbreath Dr, Sherwood, OR 97140. Arrangements are entrusted to Fuiten, Rose & Hoyt Funeral Home in Forest Grove.
