<p>Rhonda Lea Stone</p> <p>June 10th, 1955 – September 19th, 2020</p> <p> </p> <p>Rhonda L. Stone was born to Patsy and Ervin Cox in Grand Island, Nebraska on June 10th, 1955. She spent most of her childhood in the small farming communities of central Nebraska and briefly in the state of Washington. She moved to Lusk in 1973, to be with her sister Dixie L Blaney, and her mom and step dad. After working many years in the service industry of Lusk as a bartender, cook, and waitress she obtained a degree through Eastern Wyoming College and a job with the Department of Family Services. At this job she did what she loved most and helped people during their time of need. This also included helping many foster children find homes, including her favorite Tennille Henry whom she helped get placed with her sister Dixie and mom Pat. During her years with DFS she reconnected and married an old love Larry Stone. She eventually moved on to a new job at Wyoming Women’s Center where she helped inmates become productive members of society before retiring early due to degenerative arthritis.</p> <p>Rhonda very much enjoyed crafts, music, movies, and collecting knickknacks. But perhaps her favorite hobby especially after retirement was watching all her grandchildren and the children of the many kids that she was a second mom to.</p> <p>Rhonda was preceded in death by her grandparents Leta and Robert Stairs, her nephew Matthew Robert Blaney, her step-father Ronald O Fowler, her mother Patsy Cox, and her ex-husband Bill Courtright.</p> <p>She is survived by her husband Larry Stone, father Ervin Cox and sister Dixie Blaney of Lusk, WY, step-sister Mary Ann Cox-Coe and step-brother Bill Cox of Omaha, NE, daughter Jeni Courtright and grandsons Sean, Sevren, and Kanyon Johnson of Lusk, WY, and son Jordan (Kayla) Courtright and their children Madyson, Gage, and Mason Courtright and Brylee Carter of Glenrock, WY, nephew Ron (Donna) Fowler of Wheatland, WY and many other family members and friends.</p> <p>Per her wishes, no services will be held.</p>
