Gracie Mae Seymour, of Wade, MS, entered her Eternal Home with complete healing on Saturday, September 19, 2020. Though she was only with us for 12 short years, she leaves us with a lifetime of precious memories. Gracie Mae loved softball, dancing, and spending time with her friends and family. She was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church in Vancleave, MS. Gracie Mae touched the lives and hearts of so many. To know her was to love her, and to be loved by her was the greatest gift of all. She is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Paul Mack, Lyman Jack Hamilton, Sr., and Buddy and Shirley Groves, her aunts, Leslie Hamilton, Laura Hamilton, and Choice Smith, and her uncle, Michael Pierce. Left to her memory are her parents, Heath and Heather Seymour; brothers, Kyler and Lane; sister, Kaylynn; grandparents, Jack and Levonda Hamilton, and Byron Seymour, Jr., and Paula Seymour; great-grandparents, Frances Hamilton, Jean Lightsey, Byron Seymour, Sr., and Eunice Seymour; aunts and uncles, Jeffrey (Darby) Hamilton, Emily Hamilton, Hannah Seymour, Dana Tapp, and Katie Richardson; and cousin, Cayden Hamilton; along with numerous great-aunts and great-uncles, other relatives, and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Kara Kachurak, Dr. Gregory Friedman, and staff at UAB Children’s Hospital, to Hospice of Light, especially Mollie Reeves and Stephanie Hauler, and Dr. Altaf Jamal, Danielle Hinkle, NP, and staff of the Children’s Clinic of Pascagoula. A visitation for Gracie Mae will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Magnolia Baptist Church in Vancleave, MS. The funeral service will be held at the church the following day, Thursday, September 24, 2020, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Chase Elkins and Bro. Darren McNeese officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Magnolia Baptist Church Cemetery with Jeffrey Hamilton, Jimmy Louis Tapp, Allen Smith, Jessie Goff, Ian Goff, and Matthew Richardson serving as pallbearers. Heritage Funeral Home, locally owned and operated in Moss Point/Escatawpa, MS, is honored to serve the family of Gracie Mae Seymour.
