Douglas was and still is a well loved and respected man in our community. The first and foremost important thing to him was his wife and family. He took pride in all his children and grandchildren and enjoyed watching them grow. He loved them all deeply and they felt his love in everything he did for them. Doug served the Lord all of his life and lived his life to reflect his beliefs. He was a lay minister in the Anglican Church for 30 years and wouldn’t miss a Sunday service if he could help it. He was a Legion member for over 50 years and served as Chaplain for many of those years. He loved the time with the Legion where I’m sure he will be sadly missed, as he will be sadly missed by the whole community and all his family and friends.
