Lola Mae (Glahn) Wiese, 84, of Charlotte, Iowa, died Friday evening, September 18, 2020, at The Alverno, Clinton.

Lola was born May 28, 1936, in Clinton County to Edmund and Olga (Andresen) Glahn.  She was raised on a farm near Goose Lake and graduated from Goose Lake High School.  Lola  married Eldon Wiese July 17, 1955, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Charlotte.  The couple raised their three boys, farmed and milked cows on their farm north of Charlotte.   Lola also worked at Burpee Seeds, Clinton County Home, Northeast Schools and Barnes Foodland.  Her husband preceded her in death March 28, 2013.

She was a lifetime  and active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Charlotte and the Ladies Circles.  Lola enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing cards and her life in the country.  She loved to be on the go, earning herself the nickname, "Go-away Glahn".

Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Dean and Linda Wiese of Charlotte, Duane and Deb Wiese of Camanche and John and Janice Wiese of Albany, Illinois;  grandchildren, Rebecca Wiese, Emily (Karl) Dimmer, Danielle (Justin) Sampson, Steven (Jennifer) Wiese, Justin (Sara) Wiese and Jennifer Wiese; great-grandchildren, Drew and Dane Dimmer, Landon, Anna, Katelyn and Marissa Wiese, Jacoby and Gabrielle Sampson, Jack and Madelyn Swan and Astriah Wiese; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Lola was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Jared Wiese; a brother, Wesley Glahn and a sister, Dorothy Rickertsen.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Charlotte from 9:00 until 10:45 Thursday, September 24, 2020.  A Service of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the church with the Rev. Anthony Dodgers officiating.  Burial will be at Glahn Cemetery, Goose Lake.  Memorials are suggest to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Charlotte or the charity of your choice.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren.  Honorary pallbearer will be Jared Wiese.
