Ronald Joe Uriguen Obituary

Surrounded by his loving family, Ron joined his lord and savior on September 16, 2020.

Ronald Joe Uriguen was born  to Joe and LaPreal Uriguen in Rupert ID on March 9, 1946.  He was the 2nd born of 4 children.  He attended various schools in Rupert, before the family moved to Burley where he graduated from Burley High School in 1964.  He then attended ISU in Pocatello for 1 year, before transferring to COS (College of the Sequoias) in Visalia CA.  It was there he met his wife Beverly Howard.

He moved back to Burley and started to work for his dad at J & U Auto Sales.  During this time his son Joey was born 1968.  In 1969 Ron, Bev and Joey moved back to California where a new addition arrived, his daughter Holly Jean, during this time he worked at Clark Pest Control.  After spending 2 years in California, he decided to move back to Idaho to raise his family.    He again started to work for his dad in car sales.  They then added their 3rd child Justin James.  They bought their first home in Burley and he started work at Young Ford.

They lived in Burley until 1987 when they moved to Boise, where he worked at Peterson Motors for most of his career in car sales.  He really loved selling cars and was very good at it.  He could probably sell someone the shirt off their back.    He liked to talk to people and had many repeat customers.  When he wasn’t working you probably see him playing a round of golf at many of the local courses, golfing with his son Justin or one of his many friends.  He continued to live in Boise up until his death.

He was preceded in death by his dad (Joe Uriguen), mom (LaPreal Uriguen),  sister (Jackie Hinrichs), brother (Bobby Uriguen), niece (Lisa Lynne Uriguen), and numerous grandparents, uncles & aunts.

He is survived by Beverly his wife of 54 years, 3 children and their spouses:  Joey Uriguen, Holly (Fernando) Ballerino, Justin (Cari) Uriguen.  He also leaves 3 adoring grandchildren; Andrea (Michael) Czyken Ballerino and his boys: Mateo Fernando and Nicolas George Ballerino.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday September 23, 2020 at the Paul Cemetery under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary in Rupert.  Following the services their will be a celebration of Ron’s life at his nieces home.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for your kind donation to help with the funeral expenses.
