John Errol Stanley Moffat

On Friday, September 18, 2020, John E. S. Moffat, loving father of three passed away at the age of 93 into the hands of our Lord. John attended the University of Oxford and University of California, Berkeley and received his Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering. He worked in both private industry as an industrial engineer and the federal government as a tax law specialist. He had a passion for singing and dancing and truly enjoyed talking with people. He was known for his infectious smile and his love of standing up for the underdog. John was preceded in death by his wife, Adele and his brother, Peter. He is survived by his three children, Krista, Peter and Richard, his grandson Liam and several cousins. The viewing will be taking place at the Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home on September 24, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will be followed with a service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks any donations be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association.
