William S. "Bill" Wise Jr., of Fort Washington, Maryland, 85, died peacefully on September 15, 2020. Born July 27, 1935, in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late William S. and Helen Wise, and was the oldest brother to Kenneth H. "Ken" Wise (Linda), Robert "Bob" Wise (Ellie), Carol Whalen (Tom) and the late Ethel Miller. He was the beloved husband for over 62 years to Beverly "Bev" Harrison Wise, father to Wesley S. "Wes" Wise (Kathy) and Donna Jacobs (Bill), grandfather to Nicole Bryner (Jeremy), William "Will" Wise (Lisa), Amy and Stephen Jacobs. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces and other extended family members. Bill loved his family, spending time with them and his friends and was quick to have a conversation with anyone, making people feel comfortable and included. He was a leader and mentor to many. He loved cats and dogs. He was active in shooting sports for most of his life. His legacy is the life he lived and the love he shared. A Celebration of life will take place at a future date due to risks of travel and group gatherings at this time.
