Everett Lovering Obituary

Everett “Bud” L. Lovering, 81, of Dracut passed away at Lowell General hospital after a quick decline in his health. Born in Melrose on November 12, 1938 to Sydney and Ethel (Donnell) Lovering. Bud grew up in Medford and graduated with the class of 1957 and has maintained contact with many friends from High School thanks to today’s modern technology. He worked for Hewlett Packard for over 30 years as an assembler of medical devices which included, but not limited to the wiring of pacemakers and has enjoyed continued friendships with former co-workers over the years. He had a passion for videography, for a short time he recorded wedding ceremonies and other family events with his long-time friend under the company name of Buddyvision. He enjoyed 50’s music and listening to old country music. He was known by his neighbors as the “gadget guy” because he could not resist new technology and was always excited to try out the latest products. Bud was spoiled by his late wife, Patricia’s cooking, after her passing he would never pass up a “good” home cooked meal. Most recently he liked being at home in his electronic reclining chair watching western movies, Star Trek, and documentaries on space history; Lifetime Christmas movies were also a guilty pleasure. Beloved husband of the late Patricia M. Lovering. Devoted father of Debbie Whiting and her husband Robert of Lowell and Lauraly Lovering of Melrose. Cherished grandfather of Mesa, Midori, and Phoenix Whiting. At the request of the family all services will be private. Family and friends are invited to share a memory, short story and online condolences.
