Harold Davis Cunningham of Cuba, MO, previously of Steelville, MO, was born on Sunday, April 8, 1951 in Pensacola, AR to Eddie “Ed” Cunningham and Luvada (Kerkman) Stephens Cunningham.  He passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Cuba Manor at the age of 69 years, 5 months and 9 days.

Harold graduated from Licking High School.  He worked several jobs throughout his life such as at the the zoo where he fed animals, as a security guard, a handy man, a janitor and lastly as a truck driver.  He married Norma Jean Gargus on April 2, 1996 at the courthouse in Steelville, MO.  Harold had accepted the Lord. He enjoyed traveling and all things outdoors, especially hiking, fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Luvada Cunningham; wife Norma Jean Cunningham; son Harold Davis Cunningham, Jr., siblings William "Bill" (Lillian) Cunningham, Charlie (Joyce) Cunningham, Joseph "Joe" Cunningham, Dorthy Cunningham, Olive (Emmett) Lane, Lois "Tammy" (Jim) Tinker and Odie "Lee" Cunningham; parents-in-law Ralph (Norma Jean) Gargus and Pauline (Bill) Adams; brothers-in-law Johney Bolin, Joe Mitchell and Frank Gargus; sister-in-law Charlotte Gargus..

He is survived by his children Harold "David" Cunningham of Cabool, MO and Jessica Cunningham of Troy, MO; step-daughter Pam (Leon) Callahan of Steelville, MO; grandchildren Halie Gibson of Rolla, MO, Aaron "AJ" Gibson of Steelville, MO, Britney Cunningham and David Cunningham both of Troy, MO; step-grandson Jonathon Callahan of Sullivan, MO; siblings Helen Mitchell of Thayer, MO, Alfred (Lois) Cunningham of Edgar Springs, MO, Carnie Bolin of Steelville, MO, Jimmy (Suzie) Rinehart of Foley, MO and Clarence "Chipper" Cunningham of Mountain View, MO;  brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Roy Gargus of Corona, CA, Katie Butler of St. James, MO, Sandy (Rick) Wood of Fayetteville, AR, Lorna (Gene) Dotolo of WA, Peggy (Curt) Kelley of Centralia, MO, Nancy (Steve) Choate of Springfield, MO, Thrisia Cunningham of Troy, MO, Deloris Cunningham of Bowling Green, MO and David of Eola, IA;  ex-wife Clara Evens of Cabool, MO; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.  Memorial Service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating.  The family chose cremation as his final disposition.  Memorials may be given to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
