Evelyn May Boudreau Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Mama, Granny, Sister and Aunt, Evelyn, 87, of Little Anse, which occurred at the Strait Richmond Hospital on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, with her family by her side.

Born March 25, 1933, in Louisdale, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Gladys (Breau) LeBlanc.

She is survived by her children, Junior (Darlene), West Arichat, Linda, Arichat, Clifton (Karlene), Hatchet Lake, Lonnie, Hatchet Lake, Blair (Crystal), Halifax, Andrea (Colin) Doyle, Goodwood, Joanne (Kenny), Little Anse, Lisa, Hatchet Lake, Connie, Cap LaRonde and Keith (Gail), Lochside. She also leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She was a dear sibling of Clarence (Elsie), Grand Anse, Earl (Pat), Ontario, Lester (Lee), Marble Mountain, Louise (Gordie), Ontario and Agnes, Louisdale and an Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Leonard "Hank", daughter Colleen, granddaughters, Selyna and Heidi; grandson, Zachery; brothers, Wilfred "Junior", Peter, Francis and sisters, Virginia and Violet.

Evelyn enjoyed gambling whether it was playing cards, bingo or playing the slot machines. She also loved travelling, quilting, baking bread, gardening and tending to the Zachery Hall Memorial Look-Off. She was a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #47 Grand Anse and the Little Anse Social Action Center.

The family would also like to say a special thank you to the Doctors and Nurses, especially Trina, of the Strait Richmond Hospital and the Home Care Workers who helped care for Mom.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 24, 2020, from 6-8 pm in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd, Arichat. Funeral Mass will be held in the Star of the Sea Cemetery in Petit de Grat at 11 am, on Friday, September 25th,

with Rev. Michel Exalant presiding. Burial to follow in the Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit de Grat.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Zachery Hall Memorial Foundation.
