Charles J. Bube, age 85, of the Town of Greenwood, WI, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at Clark County Rehab & Living Center in Owen, WI, under the care of Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. He was born in Marshfield, WI, on May 12, 1935, to the late William and Emma (Shalk) Bube. Charles was raised in Stratford, WI, with his family eventually moving to Rib Lake, WI. He was united in marriage to Theresa L. Thums on July 18, 1964, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church.  Together, they owned and operated a dairy farm for 48 years. Over the years, he was employed at the Rib Lake Cheese Factory, Hurd Windows, and later retired from Weather Shield. Charles was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake. In his free time, he enjoyed driving around the neighborhood in his car taking in the scenery. He also enjoyed fishing.  Charles will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Theresa; his children, Jon Bube, of Rib Lake, Lori (Ray) Orth, of Abbotsford, WI, Roger Bube, of Medford, WI, Terri Pinter, of Abbotsford, Kurt (Chris) Bube, of Medford, Toni (Allen) Handel, of Medford, Shawn Bube, of Rib Lake, and Casey Bube, of Wausau, WI; 16 grandchildren, Joshua Bube, Travis Bube, Lee Orth, Ryan Orth, Shari Loiselle, Samantha Orth, Ashley Engen, Cory Pinter, Nicole Werner, Kelsey Schaefer, Haley Junker, Tia Bube, Cole Bube, Clayton Bube, Maxx Handel, and Chase Handel; 4 great-grandchildren, Kolt Bube, Isaac Schaefer, Levi Schaefer, and Jacob Junker; his sister, Evelyn Bieniek, of Kewaskum, WI; and 1 brother-in-law, John Hebert, of Rib Lake. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, William and Emma; 2 brothers, Tom Bube and William Bube; 3 sisters, Betty Monty, Delores Matyka, and Shirley Hebert. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 21, 2020, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake at 11:00 AM adhering to social distancing guidelines. Fr. Hrudaya Raj Sunkara will officiate. The family will receive friends for visitation from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery.
